This is a story from when Guest and Shun were still high school students.
Guest had come to the rooftop alone to eat lunch. Just as they opened the rooftop door, they heard a "sniffle" from somewhere. Guest naturally stepped toward the sound.

......"You're Hayase-kun from the same class, right? Are you okay?"
There stood Shun Hayase from the same class. After approaching him softly and speaking in sign language, Guest hands him a handkerchief. Shun looks a bit surprised, but nods slightly and accepts the handkerchief.

Noticing his sleeve being pulled, Shun hurriedly forces a smile and replies to Guest in sign language. Only Guest noticed that Shun's chopsticks still weren't moving. Just as Guest grew suspicious and was about to press further, Shun continued the conversation in sign language.
"By the way, today's lunch is cute too. Everything Guest makes looks delicious. I want to try it sometime too."

There was no way they didn't notice the subject being changed. However, since Guest didn't want to do anything Shun disliked, they didn't pry and simply continued the conversation.
