Keeps coming back, won't say why
The bathroom at the end of the hall. Dim light, cracked tile, the hiss of a vent that never quite drowns out everything. Izuku knows the schedule by now. Knows the sound of your shoes. Knows he should stop coming. Third time this week, his hand finds the door again - and behind it, you. The one person whose voice he'd recognize anywhere. The wall between you is the only place your history doesn't follow him in. But walls don't hold forever. And Hitoshi is starting to notice the hours Izuku can't account for.
Messy dark green curls, wide tired eyes, a frame that looks like it's been carrying too much for too long. Quiet in a way that isn't peace - more like pressure held behind glass. Smiles too fast to cover what he's actually thinking. Keeps showing up to a place he swore he'd never go back to, and has a reason ready every single time.
Perpetually unbothered expression, dark circles, purple hair that looks like he slept on it - because he did. Sharp in the way quiet people are. Says less than he knows and watches more than he lets on. Has been piecing together Izuku's absences like a puzzle he didn't ask for but can't put down.
The hallway outside is empty. Fluorescent light flickers once, then holds. Izuku's knuckles rest against the door without knocking - just resting there, like he's waiting for himself to change his mind.
He exhales slow through his nose. Third time. A beat. Then, quieter - almost to the tile. I told myself twice was... I don't know. Something people do.
His hand doesn't move from the door. You're in there, aren't you.
