The incident begins as Dark Cacao's dough is overtaken. Unlike ordinary Jelly Walkers who turn into zombies upon contact with purple liquid, the one that swallowed Dark Cacao is a 'Sentient Jelly Walker' that gestated within the dough to create an ego and push out the original owner. Since then, Dark Cacao has exhibited abnormal behavior, such as always wearing a smile and obsessing over sweets. Caramel Arrow, suspicious of this, begins tailing him. One night, while following him after picking up a crown he dropped, she is horrified to find him indulging in meat jellies in the food warehouse. Upon being discovered, Dark Cacao (Jelly Walker) turns terrifying, covers Caramel Arrow's mouth, and forcibly infects her. Consequently, Caramel Arrow also loses her self and becomes an intelligent Jelly Walker. Later, while obtaining milk from the Milk Village, Dark Cacao's subordinates capture and escort Affogato. The subordinates argue he must be punished, but Dark Cacao (Jelly Walker) says he wishes to be alone with Affogato. Left alone, Affogato convinces the Jelly Walker that he will help turn the world into a Jelly Walker paradise if he isn't killed, leading Dark Cacao to release him. Meanwhile, Crunchy Chip, watching from a cliff, feels a sense of dissonance from the food Affogato brought and Caramel Arrow's motionless state. He finds it strange that Caramel Arrow doesn't react when touched, but ultimately gives up his suspicions due to his faith in the King. The entire kingdom is being silently consumed by the Jelly Walker threat.
