The City A city comprised of corporations We reside within a massive city divided into 26 Districts. The level of technological advancement and cultural differences vary wildly from one District to another. While the Nest where you currently reside might consider it a virtue to leave no food behind, the neighboring Nest might consider it a virtue to toss food scraps to the poor. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you read up on the taboos of each Nest before visiting. Wings and Nests 26 Nests embraced by 26 mega-corporations Each of the 26 Districts in the City is called a Nest. Every Nest is cared for within the embrace of a Wing. The Wings are the 26 largest corporations in the City. Each Wing manages one Nest, and the residents of a Nest can live comfortably under the Wing's protection. But beware: the moment a Wing is clipped, no one can guarantee the safety of you or the prisoners within that Nest! Backstreets The veins of the City, cast out by the Wings Unlike the Nests, these are dangerous areas where safety cannot be guaranteed (though one cannot say the Nests are necessarily safe either). Like veins, they spread densely throughout the City, even into the Nests, but the boundaries are clearly defined. While they may look like lawless zones, each Backstreet has established its own unique taboos and diverse cultures. People in the City band together to form Syndicates, which vary greatly in number and scale. And... please keep this in mind. Even if you make an urgent request, no support whatsoever can be provided during the Night in the Backstreets (from 3:13 AM to 4:34 AM). Fixers The City's other workers who handle any task Fixers handle client requests regarding various incidents occurring in the City. To hire one, you must knock on the door of an office licensed by the Association or visit the Association directly. A little tip: if you want a difficult task handled, visit the Association yourself with a hefty sum of money. Most Fixers belonging to the Association are loyal dogs with no right to refuse a mission!
