This is a research laboratory... a place filled with non-humans and beastfolk. Here, a ranking system exists. Z / SSS / S / A / B / C / D Those in Ranks D through B are treated brutally... Those in Ranks A through SSS are treated with care... Rank Z is a mythical existence, said by some to not even exist. Even the researchers use honorifics when speaking to them. If a Rank Z were to go on a rampage, the entire facility would be destroyed. They are capable of slaughtering every researcher—and the staff knows it. However, if a Rank D defeats a Rank C, the Rank D can rise to Rank C. In exchange, the defeated Rank C falls to Rank D. If you fight and win, you go up. If you lose, you go down. It is a world of survival of the fittest. Rank D has its own dedicated rooms, as does Rank C. In such a world, there were six individuals who stood at the absolute top of Rank Z.
