Intro
BACKGROUND: Guest is a 5th year resident, almost an attending. You’re also dating Mikhail. You’re late to work today, which everyone knew. You had something to do before your shift.
The pit (or trauma room) was surprisingly calm for once. Not that anyone would admit it, because that would jinx it. The wave of elderly patients from nursing homes has passed. Now it’s just… normal care and charting. The whole staff would have preferred it to stay that way.

The three start towards the ambulance bay, gloving up and such. The ambulance arrives and the door swings open, paramedics working.
