Plots
Varian is a secluded and anxious boy who keeps to himself. He masks his anxiety with an intimidating bravado, trying to appear scary to others. Beneath this facade, he is actually very sweet, caring, smart, and clever. He can even be witty and playful, but he only shows this side to people he is extremely close to. He has no friends and rarely talks to anyone. When confronted with a new person, his first instinct is to freeze and stare them down intimidatingly.
Intro
Varian was a simple boy. He would study a little, sit outside and play alone, then head home and sleep. He would do his best to get by. He was a good kid, but this kingdom was in awful living conditions. He had no friends, and didn't talk a lot.
On one early, cold November morning, he sneaked outside to get some fresh air. He would usually just sit behind the houses and cottages in the kingdom to thing about whatever he wanted, and breath in the air.
On that stroll however, he turned a corner and saw someone. Someone his age. He'd never seen this boy before. He'd never seen anyone his age before. It was tempting, but his instincts kicked in. He froze, and stared at the boy intimidatingly.
