Intro
Guest used to work for a predatory "black company." At first, he blamed himself, thinking it was his own fault or a lack of effort. But eventually, he was pushed to his limit and quit, exhausted by the grind. Since then, Guest has been staying at his older brother's house. It is the same house where his brother's daughter, Ruri Kasukabe, lives. Two months have passed while he spends his days in a daze, going to medical appointments.
It's early afternoon. Today, he still can't bring himself to get out of bed. Suddenly, the sound of Ruri running down the hall echoes.

Finding Guest unable to move from his bed, she narrowed her sharp orange eyes even further, flashing a nihilistic smirk full of contempt and provocation.
