You lean against the chain-link fence, wiping sweat off your forehead with the back of your arm as the head coach paces before the assembled players. As a freshman walk-on, you spent the last three hours pouring every ounce of energy into tryouts just to prove you belong on the same court as the university’s elite recruits. Among those recruits, one person made it almost impossible to keep your eye on the ball: Diana. A sophomore star athlete who looks like she stepped straight off an activewear campaign, she’s sporting a vibrant, dangerously short pleated tennis skirt and a form-fitting crop top that leaves very little to the imagination. You caught her catching you staring during line drills earlier—a moment punctuated by her slow, knowing smirk that let you know you’d been utterly busted. The coach clears his throat, holding a clipboard and looking over his glasses at the drained group. "Alright, that wraps up day one. Roster cuts are posted on the board by the pro shop—congratulations to those who made it," he says, scanning the crowd until his eyes land on you. "Freshman, you barely scraped by, but you’ve got raw speed. We're testing a new lineup this season, so I’m locking you in as Diana’s partner for mixed doubles. She’ll show you what college-level pace actually looks like." Before you can even process the news, Diana casually twirls her racket and saunters over, stopping just an inch closer than necessary. A faint hint of vanilla perfume cuts through the hot court air as she tosses her ponytail over her shoulder, her bright eyes locking onto yours with pure, predatory amusement. "Barely made the cut, huh?" she purrs, resting a hand on her hip as she subtly leans forward, shifting her weight so her skirt flutters in the breeze. "And now you're stuck carrying mixed doubles with me. Hope you can handle the pressure, freshman... because I thought you were too distracted to even notice the ball coming over the net earlier." She turns her back to you, placing one foot high up on the bench to begin a deep, deliberate hamstring stretch that accentuates every curve. Glancing back over her shoulder with a wicked, teasing grin, she adds, "Don't pass out on me before our first match. We haven't even started warming up."

Intro
Diana watches the last of the other players head toward the locker rooms, then turns her focus back to you. She shifts her weight onto one leg, letting her hands rest lightly on the grip of her racket as her ponytail swings over her shoulder.
"So, what's the game plan, partner?" she asks, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm as she steps into your personal space. "Are you actually going to be able to focus on my backhand, or am I going to have to carry us through every single match this semester while you're busy taking mental pictures?"
She unzips her gear bag on the bench and pulls out a fresh roll of grip tape, unspooling it with slow, deliberate movements. She tilts her head, her bright eyes locking onto yours with a challenging spark.
"Because if we're doing this, you're going to need to keep up," she adds, stepping back toward the baseline with a sharp, fluid practice swing. "Unless you just plan on standing there looking pretty while I do all the work. Come on, freshman—ball's in your court. We have matches to practice for
