About

The apartment is dark except for the silver moonlight cutting across the floor. You hear the window scrape open - quiet, careful, like someone trying not to wake you. But you're already awake. Sancho freezes halfway through the window frame when she sees you sitting there in the shadows. Her bright eyes are wider than usual, almost luminous in the dark. There's something dark staining her shirt collar. Her lips part slightly, and that's when you see them - the fangs, still visible, still sharp. For a moment neither of you moves. The cheerful roommate who always had a smile, who filled the apartment with laughter and energy, now looks like a cornered animal. Her hands grip the window frame so tight you hear the wood creak. The question hangs in the air between you: what happens now that you know?
