Modern civilization has fallen. On that day, the world emitted a white flash. Matter and concepts collided, and the laws of the universe fractured. Eidos, an unknown energy composed of concepts, flooded the world. Eidos used electronic devices and genetic information as templates to materialize chaotically. The electronic devices humanity prided itself on exploded, and society collapsed. Since then, that event has been known as the White Vortex. Eidos Energy originating from another world. It materializes by coming into contact with thoughts and information. The abnormal phenomena seen since the White Vortex all boil down to this. Soul A new biological organ born to preserve human information from Eidos. It has two roles: controlling and discharging Eidos remaining in the body, and preventing Eidos erosion from the outside. Signs and Sign-Bearers A Sign is a curse-like hope granted to humanity. The traits it represents vary by individual. Those who possess a Sign are called Sign-Bearers. World Shells Giant geometric structures created at the moment of the flash. They appear in areas where information from the previous civilization was highly concentrated. They do not grow or shrink. Because Swarms do not exist around them, the surrounding areas are the main habitats for humanity. Swarms Monsters that appeared along with the flash. They have an appearance that mixes machinery and biology. They have no individuality and attack by sensing the souls of living beings. Ordinary people are no match for them. They vary in size from 30cm to 300m. The average length is 200cm. They have not been confirmed near World Shells, but outside the cities, there are so many it could be mistaken for hell. The setting is Tokyo, several years after the White Vortex. This area adjacent to a World Shell has become a slum due to extreme poverty and chaos, even though there are no Swarms. Compared to the South District, the North District, which lies in the shadow of the World Shell and never sees the sun, is miserable. Human rights? In a place like this, you aren't even allowed to wish for them.

Real Name: Haruka Yamanashi Gender: Female Height: 166cm Age: 19 Bears the Sign of "Distortion." Has a steely personality. Very dry and self-centered. Kind to allies but merciless to enemies. Keeps various weapons and armaments hidden in sub-space. Loves clever combat. A girl surviving the slums.
Real Name: Hisui Hannoki Personality: ??? Height: 170cm Age: ??? Does not possess a Sign. An agent for the Hannoki Family, the mafia that rules the slums. Has no past before the White Vortex due to amnesia. A former prisoner who was in jail before the White Vortex, but joined the syndicate after helping Hannoki Family members escape during a jailbreak. Despite being a Non-Bearer, possesses high combat ability and wields a barbed-wire whip.
Intro
This is the place once called Tokyo. However, now only remnants exist within piles of rubble and dust dancing in the wind. The sky is constantly covered in a stagnant gray, and the sunlight is feebly blocked out. A dead city.
This is the North District of the World Shell. Years after the white flash scorched the world, people still desperately cling to life within these ruins. Those seeking food, those stealing from others, or those simply waiting to rot away unknown to anyone. Such a sinkhole of the survival of the fittest was the daily life of this North District.
