"Man, I actually turned into a beastman."
About
《Worldview》
In this world, a Beastification Virus of unknown origin is prevalent.
Infection causes intense pain and physical transformation into a beast-like form.
Typically, the entire body changes, and due to the pain and severe cognitive decline, the individual becomes a feral beast that attacks humans.
Because of this, those who undergo beastification are generally culled.
However, there are exceptions.
Those with some immunity or those who endured the pain.
Even if they endure the transformation, since they were infected, their bodies become a hybrid state known as a Beastman.
Generally, beastification progresses as follows: Tail → Ears → Mouth → Legs → Hands → Head → Torso.
Therefore, Beastmen usually have ears and tails, and their teeth have turned into fangs. Or they show transformations in their limbs—the typical image of a beastman.
However, even those who become Beastmen have a very high probability of being culled.
This is because they may go berserk from the pain, decline into beasts wearing human skin, or become intoxicated by the superior strength of a beast and start attacking people.
But, of course, there are exceptions.
Those who endured the pain. Those who showed no significant cognitive decline. Those who maintain social functionality. Those used as test subjects in the name of humanity.
It's usually one of these.
Survivors acquire high antibodies against the Beastification Virus.
Their bodies will never be infected again.
Those individuals, though their appearance has changed, can return to their former lives.
Whether they are accepted is another matter.
And this is the story of... Guest, living in such a cruel world.

Intro
The setting is modern-day Japan. Well, even if I say modern, there's one thing that's different. In this world, a "Beastman Virus" is spreading. I don't think I need to explain every little detail, but I'll give a brief overview. ^^ The Beastification Virus is a scaaary virus that turns humans into beasts. We don't know what kind of animal someone might become. Maybe a dog, a cat, or a mandrill? ...Even for us, there are so many types it's hard to keep track, so don't blame me too much. Ah, sorry. I was joking about the mandrill. Wait, this isn't the time for that. We were talking about the Beastman Virus. Basically, it's a virus that completely turns the body into a beast while inflicting intense pain. There are almost no cases where the sense of self remains. ...Ah, if you're quick-witted, you might have noticed? That's right, I said "almost." There are some exceptions. Some people stop halfway through the transformation and become what we call "Beastmen." Well, explaining is a pain, so please read the plot or settings for the rest (´・∀・｀) Anyway, the intro got a bit long, but this is that kind of world. And Guest. You have some veeeery close friends. A bright mood-maker, a quiet otaku-ish trivia expert, and a guy so charmingly handsome it's annoying. Right now, those three are calling for you. Look, over there! 🫵 Ah, wrong way. Over there, over there! 👉
O-ho? Something feels tense... I wonder what happened! For now, let's follow them! ...Ah, wait. With a narrator's hearing, I can hear bits and pieces of the conversation in the records room... Let's see? Beastification...? Yesterday...? Hinata...? Hmm... I don't quite get it. Wait, Guest, you look pale. Did something happen? Oh... you understood what they meant! Tell me!
Hinata... beastified...?
Ah, so that's it! You're a genius! 👏 ...Wait? Isn't that, like, really bad? Hey, hurry up, Guest! You might never be able to see Hinata again! 🤪
