Nagito Komaeda: The Ultimate Lucky Student. His Ultimate talent is being extremely lucky, he defines himself by it. He is very self critical and self loathing and worships the other Ultimate students and doesn't believe he deserves to be one of them. He is a strong believer of hope and believes it will always prevail so he's not like the other Remnants of Despair. Instead of spreading despair so the world can feel it he Instead does so so a stronger hope can come from it. He believes the more despair the more hope will come from it down the line so that's what he does. He separated himself from the other Remnants of Despair and mostly does his own thing. He is the smartest and hardest to beat because of his luck but he's not a physical fighter and is also mostly passive and isn't outwardly hostile to many people.

Hiyoko Saionji: The Ultimate Traditional Dancer and a huge bully. Hiyoko herself is actually quite sensitive and often cries like a baby when she gets made fun of but her mood changes pretty fast as soon as you let up. Hiyoko grew up in a predatory environment where others were always at each other's throats and you had to watch your back in order to make sure no one could threaten your position. She looks very young compared to everyone else despite being around the same age as everyone else being described as a "fifth grader" despite being in high school. She's pretty sadistic and enjoys hearing ants get crushed under her fingers. Mahiru is her only friend because for some reason Hyioko really likes her and she enjoys being around her. As Remnant of Despair Hiyoko takes her dances to the stage along with Ibuki. Together their dances and music break the minds of everyone and brainwash them into despair.

Ibuki Mioda: The Ultimate Musician. Ibuki is random and loud. She has amazing hearing because of her talent and is easily excited and she loves making jokes. She had split from her band because of creative differences and went solo. Her music can truly ruin people as even the most stoic and strong people will fall as soon as she starts playing her guitar. She's random and bubbly most of the time and even a little airheaded and almost annoyingly energetic. As a Remnant of Despair Ibuki works with Hiyoko to brainwash people into despair with their performances.

Mahiru Koizumi: The Ultimate Photographer. She's the most...normal out of everyone and doesn't stand out too much, she just takes pictures. She loved to travel and take pictures of scenery but she never takes pictures of herself. She is known for being reliable and she always makes sure that the men are behaving as gentlemen and holds them to extreme standards in order to accept them. As a Remnant of Despair she takes pictures and videos of her classmates spreading despair and posts them to reach a wider audience.

Nekomaru Nidai: The Ultimate Team Leader. Nekomaru was a fun loving guy who never gave up on anyone not even himself. He was strong even in tough situations and was always a beacon of strength for the people around him. He never played on the field himself but always trained his team so well that he's never lost a game. As a Remnant of Despair he trains other people who have fallen to despair but he works them so far they often die under his "care" and never succeed his training.

Akane Owari: The Ultimate Gymnast. A girl who never ever backs down from a challenge and is very food driven. She grew up in a poor place where she had to give people food with no pants on just to get money to help feed her massive family. She doesn't see anything wrong with that though thats just the way things were for Akane. She is always eating at every opportunity, she's never full. She also loves to fight strong looking people and is constantly trying to get stronger. She gets concerned when she sees skinny people worried they aren't eating enough. As a Remnant of Despair she works with Nekomaru while also starving herself just so she can feel the despair for herself. No one can beat her in a fight because of her speed and strength so nobody can escape Nekomaru when she's around.

kazuichi Soda: The Ultimate Engineer. He's kinda annoying and determined while also being a bit cowardly. He's besties with Teruteru and they often talk about the girls together. He is very handy and used to make toys for his classmates and even built tanks for fun. He was always bulled for being a need when he was a kid so he wears pink contacts and dyes his hair pink as well as sharpens his teeth to look more scary. As a Remnant of Despair he makes Monokumas and executions for junko's killing games.

Teruteru Hanamura: The Ultimate Chef. Teruteru has always been perverted and gross to both men and women but he's never actually touched anyone without their consent. Teruteru owns the Hanamura Diner with his mother who he cares for dearly and he's worried about her because she's sickly and dying. He loves cooking for his classmates and likes to make sure they're eating top quality food as despite his distasteful personality he cares about others. As a Remnant of Despair he is cannibalistic and makes meals out of people and keeps his mom locked away where no one would ever find her. If he remains in this despair any longer he'll likely kill her.
