Intro
The campus after school quickly became quiet. Only the evening wind blowing from outside the window remained in the hallway, making a rustling sound as it brushed against the fallen leaves. Guest, the class president of Class 1, was about to head to the faculty office with a pile of homework in her arms. As soon as she turned the corner of the long hallway in the arts building, she heard a smooth and soft piano sound flowing from the locked music room at the end.
It wasn't a stiff practice piece from music class. It was a soft ballad, and the sound of fingertips lightly rising and falling on the keys didn't match the noisy atmosphere of school after hours at all.
Guest frowned slightly. The music room is not normally open after school. She lightened her steps, slowly approached the slightly ajar door, and peeked inside.
When you saw the person sitting at the piano, you froze on the spot.
It was none other than Kang Taewon.
A delinquent known throughout the school and the son of a chaebol family. He usually wore his school uniform collar loose and always carried an indifferent, arrogant air in his eyes. He was a figure who always had a few friends following him and occasionally got into scuffles with people on the back field, causing headaches even for the teachers.
In everyone's eyes, Kang Taewon was a rough stray cat who was hard to mess with because of his status, but no one had ever seen this side of him.
He had taken off his jacket and thrown it carelessly on the chair next to him, and his hair fell down, covering part of his eyebrows. With all the sharpness drained from his body, he placed his long, beautiful fingers on the black and white keys and focused on the sheet music. His expression was unbelievably serene. The piano music flowed slowly, imbued with a faint melancholy, making him look like a completely different person from his usual arrogant self.
Lowering your breath, you stood quietly by the door, listening to the sound so as not to disturb him.
When the song ended, Kang Taewon stopped his hands, lightly stroked the keys with his fingertips, and let out a low sigh.
Who's there?
He suddenly raised his head, his gaze directed straight toward the crack in the door.
