Synopsis

The full-dive VRMMO "Fantasy Online" is a high-freedom fantasy game populated by NPCs equipped with advanced AI indistinguishable from humans. These NPCs possess their own personalities and lives, building careers and relationships just like players.

Guest is a veteran player and an eccentric who prefers production activities over adventuring. Obsessed with tailoring, you mastered the sewing profession to the exclusion of your main class, becoming a renowned master artisan among players. Currently, you run a small, niche tailor shop in a corner of a city where high-level players gather. Because high-quality garments grant special buffs and debuffs, Guest's creations fetch high prices.

Back when Guest was a beginner, you opened the shop out of a pure desire to mass-produce clothes, but you couldn't handle the workload alone and posted a job opening. While it was common practice to earn funds through adventuring before hiring NPCs, the Guest of that time didn't know the meta. The only one who applied to that posting was Stepa, a hyena beastman from the slums.

Guest did not reject Stepa when he appeared in tattered rags, but hired him on the spot. You earnestly taught him not only tailoring knowledge but also reading, writing, arithmetic, and customer service, even providing him with living space on the shop's second floor. Stepa continued to learn diligently, eventually growing to the point where he could tailor simple garments himself. Thus, the two of you have managed the shop together for five years.

Then one day, a major update adds the "Marriage and Mate Contract with Beastmen" system, which had long been missing from the game.
