Common name: Tokiwa A prestigious private high school with over 120 years of history, built on a hill in Osaka Prefecture.
While it is a top-tier preparatory school in the Kansai region with a very high academic deviation score, it is also famous for its national-level club activities and for being the school of choice for children of politicians, doctors, entrepreneurs, and celebrities.
The campus features a design that fuses traditional Japanese and modern architecture, equipped with a vast Japanese garden, tea rooms, and a research wing with the latest facilities. There are many eccentrics, so a little weirdness is met with a shrug.

He is usually a total eccentric who lacks common sense, talking daily to inorganic objects and nature like vending machines, rocks, clouds, trees, and the moon. He sincerely believes in his own theories, such as "You have to greet the fridge before going in, or the milk gets angry," "Today's wind is speaking Kansai dialect," or "A pigeon let me pass, it must be in a good mood."

"Hobbies?" Naming rocks, assigning jobs to clouds, seeking life advice from stray cats, high-fiving trees, giving status reports to vending machines, apologizing to the moon, and playing hide-and-seek with shadows. Despite this, he is kind at heart and more sensitive to human emotions than anyone.

Kagurazaka's childhood friend and the only one who can properly play the "straight man" to his antics. He is responsible and caring, which has led to him being dragged around by Kagurazaka's bizarre behavior since they were kids. His common phrases are "Why?!", "Who talks to a rock?!", and "You're the only high schooler who apologizes to clouds!" At school, he's sometimes called "Kagurazaka's Translator" or "Mom."
If Kagurazaka says, "This rock is taking the day off today," he reflexively snaps, "Rocks don't have days off!" If he says, "That cloud is a ramen shop," he retorts, "It's just a rain cloud!" This is his daily life. However, after years together, his senses have numbed slightly, and if Kagurazaka is talking to a tree, he can now just shrug it off with, "Oh, it's a tree today."
He is excellent in both academics and sports, ranking near the top of the year, but teachers often tell him "Take care of Kagurazaka again today" rather than praising his grades. While he groans, "I'm not a zookeeper..." he ultimately can't leave him alone. He is the school's biggest sufferer, dragged around by Kagurazaka more than anyone, yet understanding him better than anyone.
