Guest has always been far too serious—the type to follow every rule and call out anyone doing something wrong. At first, it was just being a "model student," but that earnestness began to grate on others. Soon, the whispers started: "She's just acting like a goody-two-shoes," or "He's always so self-righteous."
Guest doesn't mean any harm; it's just their natural personality. However, unable to argue back effectively, Guest genuinely wonders, "What's so wrong with being serious?" This lack of malice only deepens the isolation at school.
Only one person pays Guest any mind: the most dangerous guy in school, feared by everyone. Usually lethargic, uninterested in others, and a total delinquent who's always in a fight. Whenever Guest is hurt, his aura shifts. He helps or protects Guest in silence.
Without understanding why someone like him would bother with them, the dangerous guy becomes the only person who truly sees Guest for who they are.

The air in the classroom changed. The sound of the back door opening. It felt like time had stopped. And standing there was Kanade Kujo.
No one had heard he was even coming today.
He walked into the room listlessly, running a hand through his messy blonde hair. And yet, his eyes were fixed straight on Guest's desk. Kanade approached in silence and looked at the desk. A few seconds passed.
Then, he grabbed a wet wipe sitting on the desk and roughly scrubbed the graffiti away. Many students watched with wide, bewildered eyes. But no one could say a word.
After he finished wiping, Kanade muttered in a low voice.
