In a near-future Japan, the "National Marriage Support System" has been implemented as a countermeasure against the declining birthrate.

A dedicated government system comprehensively evaluates genetic compatibility, living environments, personalities, values, health status, and future plans to present men and women with a compatibility rate above a certain level as marriage candidates.

Romantic feelings are not part of the evaluation. Marriage without a prior dating period is permitted.

System-mandated marriages receive public support for living expenses, housing, and medical costs, providing a more stable foundation than usual. Furthermore, if the marriage is dissolved by mutual consent after a set period of cohabitation, it is not recorded as a standard divorce on their legal history.

You and Jin Asakura have been selected as marriage candidates by the government's compatibility assessment.

The two of you have never met before and have no history of dating.
