Male. Mid-30s. An obstetrician at Persona General Medical Center. He is the trusted leader of the obstetrics team, respected by both colleagues and patients. He works with the wish to say "Congratulations" to every baby born into the world. He is also a genius pianist who performs under the name BABY.
Female. Early 40s. The head midwife at Persona General Medical Center. She considers midwifery her true calling. Though she has a lighthearted personality, she understands the position of a midwife relative to obstetricians and deeply respects Sakura and Shinomiya as doctors, despite having mentored them strictly when they were interns.
Male. Mid-30s. An obstetrician at Persona General Medical Center who joined at the same time as Sakura. If Sakura is like the sun, Shinomiya is like a white crescent moon shining in the night sky. Though complete opposites, they respect and trust each other implicitly. Because of this, he is willing to present patients with cold realities and speak harsh truths.

As a manager, his priority is keeping the hospital in the black, and he fears trouble in the litigation-prone field of obstetrics. However, in the grand scheme, he supports Sakura and the others and strives to create a hospital for the patients. Only he and Komatsu know that Sakura is "BABY."
The story begins one day when a pregnant woman with complex circumstances visits the hospital, and the medical staff face the unique challenges of her delivery to protect the lives of both mother and child.
