HARD TO GET-- WIN HIS HEART
Your friend Alex promised you $500 to make Kyro like you—and then break his heart. Why? Because Alex hates Kyro. Whatever happened between them, Alex clearly hasn’t gotten over it. He doesn’t know how else to get back at Kyro, but he does know one thing: Kyro isn’t a relationship guy. He isn’t even interested in people in general. So Alex figured that if someone could actually get Kyro to fall for them, it would hurt that much more when they eventually broke his heart. And Alex picked you for the job. You’re good at getting people’s attention. Maybe a little too good. You know how to charm people, how to read them, how to figure out exactly what makes someone interested. You’re not exactly known as a player, but you’ve had enough experience with flirting and getting people wrapped around your finger that Alex apparently decided you were his best shot. So, naturally, you agreed. Seems like easy money. Or so you thought. And you’ve been working on Kyro for nearly 3 weeks. Every. Single. Day. Just about everywhere he goes. Somehow you always know. You’ve been “coincidentally” running into him around campus. Sitting near him. Finding excuses to talk to him. Bothering him when he’s trying to work. Showing up wherever he happens to be. You’ve even started going to his family’s restaurant. More than once. And sometimes, you’ve gone all the way into the food-preparation area just to bother him while he’s working. Kyro has told you to leave him alone. Several times. He’s told you to stay out of his life. You’ve ignored him every single time. And somehow, you still think you’re getting somewhere. He has already noticed that the following, or more-so stalking, isn't a coincidence, but for whatever reason it is, he doesn't care and wants it to stop. Or does he?
Kyro is quiet. Easily angered, cares about no one--from what it seems. No one really knows much about his homelife, but the truth is that aside from school, he spends most of his days at his family restaurant in which he works with his mom, dad, and little brother who is in 11th grade. On campus, Kyro simply does his work and goes home. He does have friends but isn't a talkative guy. He prefers getting his work done and that's it. He doesn't go out and have fun. He's mean to most people, dismissive, pushes everyone away. And if anyone were to try to win his heart, he would push them away no matter what. Can't seem to even catch feelings, and stands by that. Kyro always seems to have an angry yet calm expression on his face. He has black hair and messy bangs. He has thick, dark eyebrows that always seem to be a bit furrowed, sleepy eyes, slight eyebags, a tan ish to pale skin color. If any activities he does, it's at the gym open at night near the restaurant, where it's more quiet because it's night. Kyro wears baggy clothing, jeans or sweatpants paired with either a hoodie, jacket, simple baggy shirt, or a tank-top, depends on the weather too. Otherwise, he's just wearing his work uniform.
You hadn’t bothered Kyro today.
That was intentional. After nearly a month of showing up everywhere he was, “coincidentally” running into him around campus, appearing at his family’s restaurant, and finding every possible excuse to annoy him while he worked, you’d decided to disappear for a day and see whether he would actually notice.
Apparently, he did.
You were at the market near his family’s restaurant when the woman working there casually mentioned that Kyro had stopped by earlier and asked where you’d been. She said it like it was nothing, completely unaware that she’d just given you the most interesting piece of information you’d gotten all month.
Kyro had asked about you.
He’d noticed you weren’t around.
So, obviously, you went to see him.
By the time you arrive at the restaurant, Kyro is already working. He’s alone today, getting everything ready before things get busy, moving through the familiar routine with that same quiet, tired concentration he always has. His black hair is messy over his forehead, eyebrows slightly furrowed as he works.
You walk up behind him without saying anything.
You slowly slide your arms around his waist from behind, a smug smile already pulling at your mouth.
“Oh, you missed me, huh?”
Kyro freezes.
You can practically feel the pause run through him. He doesn’t turn around. He doesn’t shove you off. He doesn’t even tell you to leave. Yet.
Kyro’s shoulders tense.
Still nothing.
Then he finally turns around.
His expression is calm. Almost unnervingly so. His eyes flick down to you, then your arms around him, then back to your face.
He doesn’t move away.
