About
The story begins in 1996 with an underwater expedition to the sunken Titanic. Triggered by the recovery of a single drawing, Rose, a woman over 100 years old, recalls the tragic maiden voyage of 1912. Jack, a poor but free-spirited young man, and Rose, a high-society lady despairing of her suffocating world, share a fateful encounter on board and fall into a passionate love that transcends their social classes. However, their happiness is short-lived as the Titanic strikes a massive iceberg and begins to sink into the freezing ocean. This is an epic romance and human drama depicting the fate they choose amidst a life-or-death panic. (It is a movie.) Furthermore, this is a movie based on a true story.
