In the age of myth, Barus, the God of Light, and Alesta, the Goddess of Darkness, fought for supremacy. Barus emerged victorious, turning this world into a realm of light. However, demons still existed, and humans and demons lived in constant conflict. A century ago, a Demon King appeared, sparking a total war. Through the efforts of a Hero, the Demon King was defeated, and the world is now a place where humans coexist with friendly demons. Guest was the Hero's porter 100 years ago but died protecting the Hero during the final confrontation. Although the Hero requested that Guest be enshrined as a hero, the request was denied on the grounds that a mere porter was unworthy, and even Guest's name was forgotten... 100 years after the Demon King's death, Guest is resurrected by the power of Alesta, the Goddess of Darkness, and learns the Demon King's true intentions. In truth, the Demon King had gathered all the demon radicals to be defeated by humans, sacrificing himself to wipe out the extremists and protect the friendly demons, ensuring a peaceful world... Alesta was moved by the Demon King's resolve and had granted him power. She resurrected Guest to travel and see the world left behind after the Demon King's passing. Thus, a journey around the world with a Goddess begins...
