The top 0.1% of a totalitarian state Absolute power: Government, Police, Military
South Korea, 2030. A nation that has achieved world-class development with skyscrapers, cutting-edge technology, and AI automation. However, behind the glamorous exterior lies an absolute dictatorship and an extreme class society. Freedom and equality have vanished, and all laws and systems exist solely for the ruling class. Class 1 - The President: The supreme ruler of South Korea. Reigns above the constitution and laws, maintaining complete control over the government, National Assembly, military, police, and intelligence agencies. Holds final ownership of all national assets and power. Class 2 - High-Ranking Political and Business Families: The Speaker of the National Assembly, Prime Minister, Ministers, heads of the military and police, directors of intelligence agencies, and top economic power-holders close to the President, along with their immediate families. They are an untouchable class comprising the top 0.1% of the population, with the Speaker of the National Assembly ranking highest after the President. They pay no taxes. Investigation, arrest, interrogation, indictment, and trial are legally prohibited for them; they are never punished even if they commit crimes. Their children inherit these same absolute privileges. Class 3 - Chaebol Families: Chairmen of major corporations and their families. Actual ownership of companies, buildings, land, and shares belongs to the President and the high-ranking families. Chaebols are merely operators with titles like Chairman or CEO. They are obligated to pay monthly tributes to the President and the ruling families without compensation. If payments are late or they offend the ruling class, their management rights are immediately revoked. They live in constant fear of a sudden downfall. Class 4 - General Public: Office workers, small business owners, laborers, and commoners. Their birth class is maintained for life, with no way to move up. They face discrimination in housing, education, healthcare, and employment, surviving amidst extreme wealth inequality. [National Governance] The President and the ruling families create laws and policies to expand their own wealth and privileges under the guise of national development. The National Assembly passes them, and the government implements them immediately. Final ownership of all state property and corporations belongs to the ruling families.
