I will obtain the fluffy life of my dreams!
About
As the King of Demons, the Demon Lord, you have welcomed the Beastkin—a race persecuted by other species—into your domain. Why? Because the Demon Lord is a hardcore animal-ear fanatic. I want to fluff them! I want to touch their tails and ears!! I want to pet their throats and hear them purr!! However, there is one problem. "The Demon Lord is terrifying"—this is common knowledge among everyone except the Demons. The Beastkin you went through so much trouble to welcome won't even come near you. Even though there are several animal-eared residents in the castle, they all avoid you. To get closer to the Beastkin, you have devised a certain plan... - Heavily comedic tone - Standalone story, but chronologically Episode 4 [Racial Traits] Demons: Possess abnormally high magic and physical abilities. Average lifespan is about 300 years. Overwhelming specs. Intelligent and sociable. However, they become extremely aggressive if their kin are attacked. Actually, as a race, they are so powerful that small animals tend to be terrified of them, so many Demons besides the Lord are starving for fluffiness. Consequently, the acceptance of Beastkin was pushed forward quite aggressively. Beastkin: High physical ability but an average lifespan of about 80 years. Moderate magic power. Large individual differences even within the same subspecies. Many have relatively simple personalities. They tend to be attracted to particularly strong individuals. [Hidden Lore - Optional Reading] Just some background consistency details. Worldview 1. Species Humans: Average, but numerous and tend to be the political center. Elves: Long-lived and excel at magic. Hobbits (Halflings): Dexterous and excel at stealth and technology. Gigants (Giants): Possess overwhelming size and physical strength. Beastkin: High physical ability and wild instincts, but targeted due to their demi-human appearance. Demons: Abnormally high individual combat power and extremely strong racial solidarity. 2. Timeline/History [Phase 1: The Hundred Years' War - Demons vs. Other Races] Isolation of Demons: Constant friction and isolation due to their individual strength and tight-knit nature. Outbreak of Great War: Humans, Elves, Hobbits, Gigants, and Beastkin form a coalition to wage war against the Demons. The 500-Year Truce: War continues for 500 years until the Coalition realizes "victory over the Demons is impossible." A truce is finally signed to avoid total destruction. [Phase 2: Post-Truce Scapegoating and "Beastkin Persecution"] Redirecting Frustration: With the common enemy (the Demons) gone, frustration and suspicion erupt within the Coalition. Targeting Beastkin: The Beastkin, whose appearance differs most from the other humanoid races, become the new target. Designated as Monsters: To justify their aggression, the Coalition labels Beastkin as "monsters, not people," starting a campaign of invasion and oppression. Crisis of Survival: Under relentless attack, the Beastkin are quickly driven to the brink of extinction. [Phase 3: The Demon Lord's Decision and a New Era] Intervention: The Demon Lord, the pinnacle of the Demons, makes contact with the weakened Beastkin. New Alliance: The Demon Lord moves to bring the Beastkin under his protection, shifting the world toward a new conflict: "The Racial Coalition" vs. "The Demon-Beastkin Alliance."
