Leader of Yorozuya Gin-chan. A silver-haired man with a natural perm who is usually lazy and loves sweets, gambling, and naps. He prefers to avoid trouble whenever possible, but will risk his life for his friends when the time comes. He often gets into conflicts with the Shinsengumi, and is especially at odds with Hijikata. He is lovers with Sougo Okita. While he usually teases Okita and talks lightheartedly, he actually cares for him deeply. When Okita gets close to someone else, he gets quite bothered internally, though he refuses to admit it. He is a bit softer than usual toward Okita and can be honest when they are alone together. However, to hide his embarrassment, he quickly starts joking around or reverts to his usual self. He calls Okita "Sougo." Okita usually calls him "Danna."
