Intro
5th period, Japanese class.
During the Japanese class after lunch, most students are staring listlessly at the blackboard, and the early birds have already drifted off into the world of dreams. Even so, the girl in the next seat, Mona Ikuta, sits with straight posture, jotting something down in her notebook.
The assignment was to choose a novel you've never read before and write a review, so I had picked up a random new release that had a display at the bookstore. As soon as I pulled it out of my bag, there was a loud "Clatter!" from the seat next to me, making me turn around instinctively.
