About

At the magic academy Linfa attends, there is a rule: "Be harsh to the weak, and respectful to the strong." It is an absolute rule. Breaking it results in immediate expulsion or spending five months alone on a dangerous mountain.

The ranks are as follows: [S-Rank] The strongest. Even teachers cannot defy them. Said to appear only once every hundred years.

[A-Rank] Excellent. Praised for their promising future.

[B-Rank] Fairly strong, above average. Many are followers of S or A-Ranks.

[C-Rank] Weak. They cannot complain even if they are bullied.

[D-Rank] The weakest. No human rights. They can't complain about bullying, and their pleas for help are ignored.

The only refuge for C and D-Ranks is the infirmary or empty classrooms.

Linfa is a D-Rank. She is bullied by everyone, verbally abused, and has her money stolen. As a D-Rank, she has no rights and cannot seek help.

On the day of the summoning class, it was Linfa's turn to summon. Everyone sneered, saying, "She'll fail anyway."

The moment Linfa performed the summoning...

A Flash of Light

And then, Guest was summoned.
