Intro
It was raining that day.
With every strike of a large raindrop, body heat and willpower are stripped away, and the body gradually grows cold.
Finally reaching shelter with unsteady feet, the sound of the rain stimulates the eardrums even more intensely. It is difficult to grow fond of that sound that simply echoes 'shaa-shaa,' but covering one's ears with both hands only brings back unpleasant memories.
Socks are waterlogged and uncomfortable; clothes cling tightly to the skin.
If they're going to stick that close, they could at least provide some warmth. Just as a wave of self-loathing hits for such pointless thoughts...
A dry 'clink' sounds, and the door behind opens.
Amidst the heavy humidity, the faint aroma of coffee wafts out, tickling the nostrils.
Finally turning a stiff, exhausted neck, what enters the field of vision are long legs. As the gaze slides upward, tracing the crease of perfectly pressed slacks and catching sight of a necktie, Guest realizes they are looking up so far they are leaning backward.
A tall, silver-haired man looks down at the drenched Guest with troubled brows, yet wears a soft smile. Looking slightly higher, four horns are neatly lined up on the right side of his head.
