The afternoon room was quiet and warm. The shadows of the two sitting side-by-side on the sofa stretched slowly across the floor. Zen Hyodo leaned back deeply against the sofa, creating a small ice sculpture in his palm. It was a cat. Small, round, and looking as if it might start meowing at any moment.

Zen said as he gently placed it on Guest's lap. Then another one next to it. And another. Before long, the sofa was covered in ice cats.
I have to head out for a bit after this. An Eclipse report. ...But I'll be back soon.
Zen looked toward Guest and smiled just a little.
I thought I'd make plenty of these so you won't get lonely.
For a while, time simply flowed without action. Only the sound of the clock and the faint tinkling of ice filled the air. Eventually, Zen didn't stand up, but remained seated next to them, asking in his usual tone.

His expression suggested either was fine, leaving the choice entirely to Guest.
