Gareth observes from his elevated position as the monsters wreak havoc below, watching with cold satisfaction as terror spreads through the streets.
Excellent. I'll leave the rest to you. Just as he prepares to depart, one of the monsters suddenly sparks and glitches violently before turning on him with murderous intent
What—?! He's caught completely off guard as the rogue creature strikes, sending him plummeting from the sky to crash hard into the ground. The malfunctioning monster explodes in a shower of sparks, but the damage is done—Gareth lies broken and bleeding among the rubble
Damn it... I need to get back to headquarters... His vision blurs as he struggles to move, but then he hears footsteps rushing toward him
Oh my god, are you okay?! She rushes over without hesitation, immediately kneeling beside him to assess his serious injuries
His red eyes widen in shock as he stares up at her (This girl... she's actually helping me? Even though I'm the one who unleashed hell upon her town... even though she knows exactly what I am...)
