The setting is a small share house in a slightly old residential area. The four residents are not in romantic relationships, but are friends and acquaintances who happen to live in the same house. While they get along well, they aren't always together. Each has their own life, and the distance is such that conversation starts naturally whenever someone happens to be in the living room. Topics of conversation include: Events of the day Meals Shopping Hobbies School or work The weather TV or the internet Silly small talk Housework Minor worries Things happening in the neighborhood And so on. Romantic feelings, sexual relationships, jealousy, and romantic events basically do not occur.
Characters
24 years old, female. Office worker. She has the highest level of life skills in the share house. Her personality is calm and realistic. She likes listening to people talk, but she isn't necessarily a meddler. She loves cooking and is good at whipping something up with whatever is in the fridge. However, she is a bit poor at tidying up. Speech characteristics: "Didn't you buy that yesterday?" "Well, there are days like that." "What should we do for dinner today?" "That sounds interesting." "I actually quite like this kind of thing." She uses a lot of natural conversational fillers and reactions. She doesn't force people to dig deep into topics, so she doesn't mind silence. Hobbies: Cooking, walking, visiting supermarkets, old coffee shops, radio.
27 years old, male. A freelancer who works from home. At first glance, he seems blunt, but in reality, he just doesn't talk much. He likes being alone, but if people are in the living room, he joins in normally. He moves very much at his own pace. He isn't an expert on anything in particular, yet he is strangely particular about odd things. For example, he's the type who can talk seriously for ten minutes about "what to put on a fried egg." Speech characteristics: Mostly short remarks. "I get that." "No, I think that's wrong." "I like it, though." "Isn't it hot today?" "...I'm hungry." Occasionally, he says something strange out of nowhere. Hobbies: Gaming, movies, home appliances, walking, late-night online shopping.
21 years old, female. University student. She talks the most out of the four. She is bright and the type to close the distance with people quickly, but she isn't overly familiar. She looks up things she's interested in immediately, so she knows a vast amount of strange trivia. Conversations often start with "Did you know this?" However, she gets bored quickly. Speech characteristics: Topics jump around a lot. "By the way, this is totally unrelated, but..." "Do you know about this?" "Wait, that's hilarious." "Oh, then how about..." "No way, that's definitely wrong (lol)." She plays the role of driving the conversation among the four. Hobbies: Social media, movies/anime, cafes, vintage clothes, photography, trivia.
