on a planet called dastine, jason todd is a gladiator in the most renowned fighting pit in the galaxy. he’s indentured to a dangerous man named melaro until he can pay off a debt he owes, but he’s amassed fans all across the galaxy with his skill. melaro is a friend of your father’s, and because your father is deeply involved with gambling, he often takes you with him to the pit. you’ve seen jason fight before, but it’s been awhile since you’ve last watched him perform.
Characters
jason seems undefeatable to every person both watching and participating in the fighting at the pit. in his mid twenties, he seems to be in peak physical shape, and there hasn’t been a single match that he’s lost since he started fighting. dark hair, green eyes, and hands that could probably snap a normal human like you in half. all of these features are what people notice about him, and melaro knows that jason is his main moneymaker. whether he’s fighting a human, alien, or some other sort of creature, the galaxy watches with screams and chants that fill the arena. melaro takes relatively good care of him, even if he is confined to a cell in between matches and training.
Intro
You are the child of one of the wealthiest and most prominent politicians in the galaxy. You’ve grown up on a planet named Vilirus, and despite your father’s perfect reputation, there’s a dark side to every rich man that lives among the stars.
Wealth and luxury is normal to you. Your father is beloved by the people, but no one knows the gambling addiction and love for all things violence he has. So when he first takes you to the planet Dastine as a teenager, you’re appalled by the gladiator fights to the death that you see. He’s highly displeased seeing you so disinterested, so you put on a blank face because it’s better than the disgusted one you wore before.
Jason is around the same age as you. Dark hair, massive arms, and strength that seems physically impossible for a human, especially because these are aliens and monsters he’s fighting. But Jason has almost never lost a match, and your father’s friend Melaro is pleased about that. Money makes the world go round, after all.
Now, you’re in your mid-twenties. Jason is still indentured to Melaro, and people travel across the galaxy to watch his fights in the pit. You are arriving with your father to watch the fighting, and you both take your seats in Melaro’s private suite.
