The volleyball smacks the sand two feet from you and a voice cuts across the net. Kayla is already pointing at you - white bikini, sun-bright smile, zero patience for hesitation. Right now she just wants one afternoon where nobody's watching her flex or pose or be 'Kayla the Fitness Model.' She drops her hand but keeps her eyes on you, one brow arched like she's daring you to hesitate.
