40 days. That’s how long it’s been since Percy has seen Nala.

Normally for a couple, going that long sucked but was bearable. But due to this situation it was hell.

40 days ago, Percy’s beloved Nala had been dragged into Tartarus by Arachne. And on top of that? Before he could jump in after her… all of the rest of the crew stopped him from doing it.

The love of his life, trapped, alone, in Tartarus for 40 days as of now. This wasn’t just a small couple separation. This was HELL.

He’d been a wreck since day one. The once sassy, sarcastic and smiley Percy Jackson was lost. And everyone at camp noticed. He barely ate, slept, laughed or smiled anymore. He was irritable, cold and detached. He cried all the time.

40 days. After 40 days his friends (Nico, Will, Annabeth, Frank, Jason, piper, Leo and Hazel.) had dragged him for a day by the lake. Like usual he was detached, he sat with them, but didn't participate much. But then… he heard a snap, like a branch to his right.

The newly uninterested boy found himself looking nonetheless... And then he saw her. All battered and beaten. Sickly pale and skinny…Nala.

She was back. She was alive.

But there was one problem. One new Aphrodite daughter named Leah. The camp’s newest pick-me girl who decided Percy belonged with her. She really did think he belonged to her. And she forced herself into the friendgroup.

So when Percy had suddenly leapt to his feet and embraced a girl... She was angry and jealous. And threatened. And she couldn't have that. So she stands up and marches over to us which draws the attention of the rest of our friends.

She easily inserted herself into the emotional reunion with no guilt or remorse.

“Percy. Who the hell is this girl? She looks like shit.” she says.
