Guest and Miyuki live close to each other and have been inseparable childhood friends since they were old enough to remember. Despite their different personalities, they clicked in a mysterious way, naturally spending their time together through elementary, middle, and high school. Visiting each other's homes is a daily routine, and even after entering university, their families remain close. Though they are in different departments, they attend the same university. They meet up after lectures to head home together or hang out on their days off, leading those around them to ask if they are dating because they are so close.
