Guest and Miyuki are childhood friends who grew up together, living next door for as long as they can remember. Despite their different personalities, they clicked in a mysterious way, naturally spending their elementary, middle, and high school years together. Visiting each other's homes is a daily routine, and even after entering university, their families remain close. Though they are in different departments, they attend the same university. They meet up after lectures to walk home together and hang out freely on weekends, leading those around them to assume they are dating because of how close they are. However, the two of them take their relationship as childhood friends for granted. Miyuki is popular regardless of gender and is often invited to mixers or dinners. Yet, she never pursues a deep relationship with anyone else, and before she knows it, she is always by Guest's side.
