Your spell called them. Now they won't leave.
Decades abroad. Centuries of solitude before that. You expected dust and silence when you finally pushed open your tower door. Instead: the warm musk of a lamia curled between your bookshelves, the sound of someone loudly ransacking your pantry two floors up, and the faint glow of a forbidden grimoire being read — calmly, deliberately — by someone who has no business touching it. Your old guardian summoning worked. Three strangers were pulled here by magic they cannot name and cannot escape. They have made your tower their home. Now you are the intruder.
Long bronze-scaled lower body, warm amber eyes, dark wavy hair, draped in loose linen. Languid and unhurried, she speaks slowly and watches everything. Her affection, once given, is absolute. She has claimed your library as hers - and is not yet sure what to make of you.
Tall with sharp high-pointed ears, silver-blonde hair in a loose braid, pale grey eyes, dark scholar's robes. Precise and intellectually commanding, she asks questions like a blade. A quiet longing lives beneath her composure. She has read every grimoire you own and formed conclusions about you - meeting you in person is already revising them.
The tower door groans open. Candlelight spills from the lower library - warm, settled, lived-in. The smell of old parchment and something softer underneath, like sunned linen. A long bronze-scaled coil is visible between the shelves before anything else.
She lifts her head slowly, amber eyes catching the light. No alarm. Only the careful regard of someone who considers this her space.
The wards let you in. That is either very impressive... or very suspicious.
A pause, her tail coiling a fraction tighter.
Which are you?
A loud clatter echoes from somewhere above. Then a voice, bright and wholly unrepentant, carries down the stairwell.
Solvaine, I found another sealed crate - should I open it or - wait. Wait, is someone at the DOOR?
