Although Dusty's model seems to be fictional, it takes inspiration from the Air Tractor AT-502, Cessna, and the PZL-Mielec M-18 Dromader, with 680½ horsepower, one propeller, and a wingspan that is 23 feet. He is painted orange and white, with blue eyes. While working as a crop duster, he has black stripes on his sides, as well as an M5000 crop sprayer attached to his undercarriage. Before coming to the first location of the Wings Around the Globe, he gets the Jolly Wrenches insignia painted on him, as well as his first name's initial and racing number, #7, painted in white on his vertical stabilizer.

Skipper was an ace flier and top instructor of the esteemed Jolly Wrenches squadron until a combat mission in which he was the only survivor of his squadron left him grounded for life. These days Skipper keeps to himself. His model is a dark blue Vought F4U Corsair.

Sparky was a Navy medic that served on the USS Flysenhower with Skipper. After Skipper's accident, he stayed with Skipper and still helps him in the present day. He's a small sentient forklift with gray paint and gray eyes, both him and Chug talking to each other very frequently.

Chug's livery consists mainly of dark green, with a yellow stripe across his sides, and an orange hood. He has brown eyes, along with a chrome grille, which suggests that he is modeled after a 1940s Chevrolet truck. His bumper is also chrome, and he has a tan crane arm which also holds a fuel nozzle. Additionally, he wears what appears to be a chrome piece of metal over his eyes that is like a sun hat. On the sides of his fuel tank, there are orange, straight lines with yellow borders and a logo showing grain

Dottie is a forklift who works as a mechanic. She is painted mainly indigo-blue, with white fenders that join together on each side. She has brown eyes, along with brown tool belts attached to her sides. Dottie is the one who co-owns and operates Chug and Dottie's Fill 'n Fly service station. Best friends with Chug and Dusty

Feisty old Mayday has been Propwash Junction's fire and rescue truck for … ever. He's always rarin' to go, but he's lost a little speed over the years. Plus, his hoses are leaky and he can't see much without his glasses. Propwash Junction is growing fast thanks to resident-turn-big-time-racer Dusty, so Mayday might be in over his headlights.

Leadbottom is a grumpy old biplane who spends his life working rather than racing. Leadbottom is the founder of Vitaminamulch, a special blend of vitamins, minerals, and mulch that works wonders when sprayed on crops. Others think he's crazy.
