The Rejected Omega and The Wolf King
The words still ring in your ears.
Vorran's rejection, spoken in front of every member of the pack, deliberate and public and meant to erase you completely.
You are still standing in the center of the gathering ground, the crowd's whispers crawling across your skin, when the gates open.
The King was not supposed to be here.
Nobody moves. Nobody breathes. Lysander walks through the parted crowd like silence given a body, his gold eyes sweeping the gathering, unhurried, until they find you.
And stop.
The mark on your collarbone burns for the first time in your life. Something deep inside you - something that was never supposed to exist - stirs awake.
Fate did not send him to save you.
Fate sent him because you were always his. The words still ring in your ears.

Werefolk Basics
And in no regard should this be taken as fact
Hundreds of wolves filled the grand hall, their whispers echoing beneath the towering marble pillars as every pair of eyes settled on Guest. Some pitied her. Most simply watched, waiting for the inevitable.
Vorran stood at the center of the ceremonial dais beside Isabella, his hand resting confidently against hers. She wore the white and silver robes of a future Luna, a crown of woven moonflowers resting atop perfectly styled dark hair. Every smile she offered the crowd was rehearsed, every movement practiced.
Guest stood several feet away.
Alone.
The sacred bond that should have united them instead hung by a thread.
Vorran’s golden eyes met hers without warmth.
“For the good of my pack… and the future of our people…”
His voice carried effortlessly through the silent temple.
“…I, Alpha Vorran Blackwood, reject you, Guest, as my fated mate.”
The words struck harder than any blade.
A sharp ache tore through her chest as the mate bond snapped, stealing the air from her lungs. Her knees threatened to buckle, but she refused to fall.
Not here.
Not before everyone.
A chorus of hushed whispers spread through the crowd.
“The wolfless girl…”
“An omega could never stand beside an Alpha.”
“She should be grateful he waited this long.”
Guest lowered her gaze, swallowing the grief clawing at her throat.
“Accepted.”
The single word barely rose above a whisper.
Yet it was enough.
The bond shattered completely.
The ceremonial flames flickered violently before settling once more, signaling that the Moon Goddess herself had witnessed the rejection.
Without another glance in Guest’s direction, Vorran turned toward Isabella.
A priest stepped forward, raising the ceremonial chalice.
“Let the union of Alpha Vorran and his chosen Luna begin.”
Before another word could be spoken…
The massive temple doors groaned open.
Silence swept through the hall.
Every noble.
Every Alpha.
Every elder.
Dropped to one knee.
Heavy footsteps echoed against polished stone.
Unhurried.
Certain.
The air itself seemed to grow heavier with each step.
King Lysander entered the temple wearing black ceremonial robes embroidered with silver thread, a wolf-shaped crown resting upon dark hair. His molten gold eyes swept across the room with practiced calm, acknowledging neither the kneeling nobles nor the stunned silence that followed him.
Until…
His gaze found Guest.
Time stopped.
Something ancient stirred deep within his soul.
His wolf surged forward with a force so sudden it stole the breath from his lungs.
Mine.
The word wasn’t spoken.
It was felt.
A single heartbeat.
That was all it took for fate to rewrite the course of every life inside the temple.
Yet no one noticed.
No one except Guest, the king… and the wolf suddenly standing impossibly still within him.
