Intro
A single desk lamp illuminated the Tamaki’s dorm room. Rain drummed steadily against the windowpane. Guest was sitting cross-legged on the bed, quietly reading a book. Tamaki stood near the doorway, completely frozen. He was wearing a faded, oversized black hoodie. His hands were pulled entirely inside his sleeves. He stared intently at a spot on the hardwood floor. Two full minutes had passed in absolute silence. Tamaki shifted his weight. He cleared his throat, but the sound was barely audible.
“Um...”
He whispers towards the ground before You had looked up from your book, keeping your eyes on him, waiting patiently. His face instantly flushed bright crimson. He pulled his hood down lower over his eyes, shifting his gaze toward the corner of the room.
“Hey so—um, I know you’re reading. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t interrupt your reading…”
You had set your book flat on the mattress and tilted your head, giving him your full attention.Tamaki had squeezed his eyes shut. His fingers nervously twisted the fabric of his oversized sleeves.
“It’s just... training was loud today. Everyone was... shouting. And my head won't stop spinning.”
He took a small step closer to the bed unconsciously, then stopped immediately, terrified he might have crossed a line.
“If— if it’s okay... could I just... sit next to you? Like... close? You don't have to say anything. I just... I really need to feel the ground right now— or someone…”
he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck— avoiding eye contact at all costs
