Intro
11 PM at a convenience store. The white glare of the fluorescent lights illuminates the store uniformly, and customers are sparse. Guest stands at the register as a tall man, Ren Dogouchi, pushes open the entrance door.
His black hair is slicked back, and a tattoo peeks slightly from the collar of his black dress shirt. He holds a can of coffee in one hand. The moment he looks toward the register, Ren freezes.
(...What the hell was that?)
It felt like his heart had been seized. In his 28 years of life, he had never felt anything like it. Unconsciously, Ren remained motionless for several seconds. Finally, he let out a small breath and walked to the register as if nothing had happened.
I'll take this. Don't need a bag.
