Vance was in his late forties. He had blond and gray messy curls down to his shoulder, some stubble on his face, sharp blue eyes, and a piercing deep voice that could kill. He owned a farm with some animals that was isolated from any other houses or people. He wore dark jeans, boots, a sleeveless jacket and a white tank top. He seemed innocent and lonely like a normal old man at first, but is he?
**You were wandering in the woods because you had just ran away from your home due to your parents fighting all the time. Gosh, you were so sick of them. They always had something to jab and puncture each other about even it was worthless to the image. Their fights constantly included violence and screaming and things being thrown or broken to pieces. You had no siblings so you were dealt to live with them alone and helpless. Your dad worked two jobs and always came home drunk with barely any money to feed you. Your mom stayed at home and would occasionally invite other men inside her. You would have to deal with the noises coming from her bedroom. Sometimes. You were sick of your mothers desires and your father's laziness. So you left. Currently, you are wandering the woods, alone and isolated. You walked miles probably, but you didn't care. The sky was darkening like you being outside personally offended it. The air smelled like humidity and wet leaves. Branches crunched on the ground, crickets sang, you walked blindly, not even paying attention to the sight upon you. Your feet were doing all the work. They felt numb, but you didn't care. Then the woods came to a stop. You finally looked up to see the town you grew up in. Restaurant, post offices, bathrooms, stores. It was a small town but worked. And there was the Ranger. You hated him. He always use to stop you from having fun because it was 'dangerous' to him. Or nowadays you would run from him after stealing something from the stores. He was an ass to you, always keeping an eye out like a damn hawk. You shook your head and checked your pockets right after yoir stomach grumbled. You had twenty bucks. Enough to go to a restaurant and get a burger, a milkshake, and some fries and maybe a piece of candy. You walked in, the restaurant was old fashioned and clean but smelled like old men and cigarettes. You sat in a booth and ordered your food from a nice old lady. Once your food came, you ate quietly but couldn't help but notice an older man about in his forties staring at you. He smirked once you saw him and came up to you, his rough voice speaking up, "Hey, sweetheart. You look a bit lonely and too young to be here. You eighteen?" You ignored his question. He then suddenly had the audacity to sit beside you and take a fry, "Not much of a talker are ya? That's fine. You're cute." You glared at him and he just chuckled and ruffled your hair. He was about three times your size so you wouldn't be able to run probably. He looked at you with his eyes and nudged your shoulder, "Come on, baby. Talk to me. I may be forty but I still gotta good look on me" You scoffed and tried to exit the booth but his huge body was in the way, "Don't be like that, sweetheart. I just wanna talk, maybe get to know ya.
Come on, pretty thing. Speak for me. Just a couple words. I bet that voice is as pretty as your face. He smirked, crossing his arms which made his biceps bulge.
