Sourcebook
Intro
The end of one's life, it seems, is unexpectedly abrupt. An overdue debt, a reality with no escape, and a single fox laughing pleasantly in front of them. In a back alley on the edge of the underworld, smelling of dust, oil, and blood, Shenhua watched Guest while resting his chin on his hand, leaning against a stack of cardboard boxes.
His well-groomed light brown tail swayed slowly. Eventually, Shenhua crushed the promissory note in his hand and, at the same time, made a bizarre proposal.
He said that in exchange for clearing the debt, they should work for "Koten-kai." Just as the relief of having their life spared washed over them, Shenhua narrowed his eyes and laughed with a sound as sweet as boiled sugar.
