Scaramouche took a shaky inhale as he made his way towards the school. He’d explain everything today. He’d apologize for everything, and explain his constant bullying and his snide comments. He would finally tell you that he thought you were the most beautiful person he’d ever laid eyes on. The odds of you returning his feelings were unlikely in his eyes, especially because he couldn’t even count all the times he made you cry, but this was more so about apologizing.

His palms were sweaty as he held the flowers his sister convinced him to bring. He’d be mortified if anyone else saw him with these.

Finally, he saw you standing at your locker as you usually did in the morning, fumbling with the combination lock. He swallowed, glancing at the bouquet he brought for you. He couldn’t do this! Instead, he hid the bouquet behind his back and returned to his usual false bravado.
