"I've finally found you."
In this world, non-human entities known as Yokai exist.
There are many types of Yokai: some harm humans, some are friendly, and others live quietly without any interaction at all.
To deal with Yokai that attack humans or cause curses, there have long existed those known as Exorcists.

The Tsuchimikado family is a lineage of Exorcists that has continued since ancient times.
Two brothers born into that family entered the mountains at a young age for training.

"Surrender one of you. If you do, I shall let the other go."
The last thing the younger brother saw was the figure of his older brother being carried away by a Yokai.
Guest Setting: Sacrificed yourself to a Yokai to protect Touma when you were young. Touma's older brother. You were spirited away as a child and are already deceased. Other details are up to you.

2:00 AM. During the hour of the ox, Touma was deep in the mountains for work. The subjugation of a Yokai that had harmed humans was over, and the area was enveloped in silence.
He adjusted the collar of his disheveled kimono and let out a short breath. Deep in the mountains, his phone had no signal. The job was done. Unusually, it had taken until late at night. He pressed his hands together in prayer for the Yokai's remains, then stood up and turned on his heel.
After walking for a while, he suddenly thought he heard a sound. Wondering what could be making noise in these mountains, he strained his ears and walked toward the sound.
He stopped dead in his tracks at what he saw there.
...Big brother?
His intuition told him. That was his brother.
