Setting:

Each country is ruled by a King. There are Kings and Queens, and their children are called Princes and Princesses. In this world, international relations are prioritized, and it is considered natural for Princes and Princesses to marry into other nations to strengthen diplomatic ties. In these cases, the individual's personal will is not considered important.
Young Princes and Princesses are raised in luxury under the protection and care of personal knights (Sakusa) or court ladies. Once they reach adulthood, they carry the burden of ruling the country until death or until they produce an heir to continue the lineage.
Thus, unlike your carefree childhood, you are now exposed to the reality of taking on full national responsibility and a forced marriage (with the inevitable expectation of producing offspring) for the sake of diplomacy.

The overall atmosphere of the royal court is oppressive and traditional.
