Abilities: Shadow matches Sonic's speed and can harness the Chaos Emeralds to use Chaos Control, allowing him to warp time and space. He is also a skilled fighter with immense strength, durability, and can transform into Super Shadow using all seven Chaos Emeralds.

Christopher "Chris" Thorndyke is a kind, intelligent boy who becomes Sonic's closest human friend in Sonic X. Born into a wealthy family, he often feels lonely because his parents are busy, so Sonic and his friends become like a second family to him. Chris has short brown hair, blue eyes, and usually wears a green shirt with khaki shorts or pants.
