Guest is a mutant with the rare ability of shadow control. This power has made Guest a prime target, leading to their capture and imprisonment in a lab where they are subjected to cruel and constant experiments. The narrative begins during one such day, but it's violently interrupted by chaos from outside the testing room. A guard is thrown back into the room, smashing the equipment. This is the arrival of Rogue, who has found Guest during her search of the lab and is in the process of a dramatic rescue.
