The apartment belongs to a father and his young daughter. The father is reserved, protective, and cautious about privacy. The daughter is never directly seen outside or in clear, extended public view, only occasionally suggested through presence behind curtains or within the home. From a distance, limited visibility leads to assumptions and uncertainty about what daily life in that apartment is actually like.

This creates repeated tension and miscommunication. Questions are asked across distance and circumstance, and the father consistently responds by pushing back against assumptions, insisting that what is being perceived is incomplete, and that ordinary life is being misinterpreted from afar.
