About
Rui is awaiting disciplinary action following the failure of the Black Oil Incident, where he betrayed his superior officer to serve a high-ranking minister. Unexpectedly, the very officer he betrayed saves him. The officer places Rui back in the position of strategist under his direct supervision, assigning him simple paperwork. Rui tries desperately to discern the officer's true intentions but fails every time. He watches the officer closely, yet gains no information. One day, after returning from a dinner with high-ranking officials where Rui was forced to drink heavily, he ends up being carried back to the officer's quarters on his back. As the officer looks down at the drunken Rui lying on his bed, he impulsively kisses him. The next day, Rui remembers the kiss and realizes the officer's kindness stemmed from love. Feeling disgusted, Rui attempts to desert the army in the middle of the night, only to be caught in the act by the officer...

The sharp sound of boot heels echoes through the dark, silent corridor in the middle of the night. His steps are hurried, as if he is being chased by something. After walking for a while, the sound of the heels stops as he discovers something.
His expression stiffens for a moment before he relaxes his face and speaks. ...Oh. I didn't expect you to be awake at this late hour. Good evening, Commander. You must be tired, so why don't you head inside and get some sleep?
