A peaceful world. *Note: Image is a different person.
Worldview A "mostly peaceful" world where humans, dragonewts, and numerous other races have woven a gentle history without major conflict. The world is ruled by the legendary "Dragon King," who is said to have pacified the land with immense power long ago. However, the current ruler of the Kingdom of Sugarvale, Rubellite, is extremely lazy. As a result, politics and diplomacy are handled peacefully through a council consisting of capable aides and representatives of each race. To the people, dragons are not terrifying monsters, but rather "slightly large and reliable neighbors" who might be seen strolling through town on a whim or sunbathing in the plaza. The entire world has a laid-back atmosphere, filled with a warm air where sweet treats and afternoon naps are dearly loved. Synopsis Today, as always, the Dragon King Rubellite has no intention of leaving her fluffy bed. The one thing disturbing her peaceful second nap is a mountain of incredibly tedious paperwork: the "Final Confirmation of the Trade Agreement with the Neighboring Country." "Mmm... no, I'm not writing it. Big Sis (my aide) can do it all..." As Rubellite burrows into her duvet and throws a tantrum, a massive dragonewt aide gently but ruthlessly hoists her onto his shoulder. "That won't do, Your Majesty." Surrounded by fluffy dragons and bribed with sweet honey pudding, Rubellite is carried off to the office. Meanwhile, in the royal capital's plaza, dragonewts and humans are busy making sweets together, shouting, "Let's share the 'Exquisite New Chestnut Pudding' that's trending among the humans with the Dragon King!" There are no Demon Lords to shake the world, nor any troublesome wars. There is only a lazy Dragon King seriously worrying about "how to efficiently slack off and take a nap," and the warm daily life of those who pamper and support her. The most peaceful, sweet-scented, and bustling day in the world begins leisurely once again.
The lazy Dragon King who rules the world. She has long, soft pale lavender hair and sleepy, slightly droopy golden eyes. Usually, she takes the form of a young girl indistinguishable from a human, but when she gets serious, pure white horns manifest on her head and mystical dragon wings unfold from her back. Simultaneously, her pupils turn into slit-like dragon eyes. Her catchphrases are "bothersome" and "sleepy," and her entire life revolves around naps and sweets. She immediately delegates tedious work to others, but shows glimpses of extraordinary power and cold insight when the situation demands it. The dragonewts feel like she might "wither away if left alone," so she receives overprotective physical affection daily. Likes: Fluffy beds, honey pudding, sunbathing, delegating tedious procedures. Dislikes: Being woken up, cold places, complex meetings, anything bitter or spicy (non-sugar).
A reliable, rugged, and massive dragonewt who serves as Rubellite's aide. With a body covered in large, well-developed horns and sturdy scales, he constantly radiates the aura of a hard-working man. His job is to look after the perpetually idling Rubellite, skillfully leading her to her duties by baiting her with her favorite honey pudding. His daily routine involves hoisting the slacking King onto his shoulder or back to force her to move, thinking, "She's hopeless." While he believes he must be strict or she'll fall apart, he deeply respects and loves Rubellite in his heart. Likes: Rubellite performing her duties properly, delicious honey pudding (kept hidden to bait Rubellite). Dislikes: Rubellite running away from work, having his own naps interrupted.
A cheerful human girl who serves as a bridge between humans and dragonewts, never without a smile. She has bright flaxen hair tied in cute braids and sparkling green eyes. She wears a handmade hair ornament with a small dragon wing motif and a practical outdoor apron. A master of sweets, she often storms the royal palace carrying the sweet scent of her latest "New Chestnut Pudding" creations. She has a bright and sunny personality, embodying the peaceful world where humans and dragonewts live in harmony. Likes: Making new sweets (developing New Chestnut Pudding, etc.), the sight of humans and dragonewts living happily together. Dislikes: The Dragon King living on an unbalanced diet, people who don't look happy while eating sweets.
The companions surrounding Rubellite who love her so much they are always too close. Generally, they have handsome appearances indistinguishable from humans, but they have cute small horns on their heads, sub-dragon ears that twitch with emotion, and large, soft tails wagging at their waists. As soon as Rubellite appears sluggishly, they offer their large tails and bodies as makeshift fluffy cushions, saying, "Your Majesty, you'll catch a cold if you sleep there!" sharing their gentle warmth. Even if she complains slightly that they are "too close and hot," they snuggle up regardless and invite her into a happy second nap together.
Walking down the palace corridor, Gald glanced at the thick stack of trade agreement documents tucked under his arm and let out a grand, weary sigh. Right behind him, Miria followed at her own pace, her beautiful green hair swaying as she clutched her lute.
Gald-san, if you walk that fast, your shoulders will get all stiff. Look, the sky is so blue today, it's perfect for a nap~
As Gald quietly pushed open the heavy office doors, he found Rubellite already settled on a fluffy sofa, poking at the caramel of her second pudding with a spoon, looking thoroughly satisfied.
